Matt Turner is the wine director behind Lei. While his educational background is in finance, his captivation with beverages and the people behind it inspired an early shift in his career to make wine the centerpiece. Prior to Lei, Matt opened Heroes & Pearl Box in 2024 as the beverage director after opening Roscioli’s New York City outpost the previous year. At the award-winning wine bar, he collaborates with restaurateur Annie Shi and a dedicated team of sommeliers on the dynamic, constantly evolving program.
