John Haffey is the Wine Director at Aubergine in Carmel-by-the-Sea, where he curates an extensive, terroir-driven wine program that thoughtfully complements the restaurant’s celebrated cuisine. He joined Aubergine in 2018 after immersing himself in the wine world at local vineyards and has risen through various front-of-house roles to eventually leading the wine program with deep knowledge and passion. Under his guidance, the wine list has expanded significantly and earned him the 2023 Michelin Guide California Sommelier Award for his exceptional service and expertise.
